Pantone Color of the Year 2012 Tangerine Tango!

A new year is almost here and with it comes new trends, forecasts and of course, new projects.  I'm sure you noticed a lot of pink in 2011.  2012 brings us a different energetic color, Tangering Tango 17-1463.

Winter is full of somber, neutrals in the landscape around us and having a scarf, bag or gloves with a pop of warmth can lift your spirits when it reaches -15°.    Warping up your loom with a bright color can give you a lift and make you forget the icy roads.

Designers are suggesting table coverings, accent walls, and home accessories in Tangering Tango.  Why not weave up a new set of napkins and try it out?  You will soon see the major yarn manufacturers adding this color to their collections.

If you like to dye your own yarn and fabric, Dharma Trading offers a wonderful selection of colors that you can experiment with to create your own beautiful sunset palette.

What will you create with this color in 2012?
